In a report by CBS 7, a family dog was attacked by a much larger dog inside of a PetSmart and the family is left devastated by the loss of their 13 year old dog, Luna. The owner of the mastiff that attacked the smaller dog agreed to pay for the cremation of the Luna and let PetSmart take care of anything else related to the attack. However, Liliana Vergara, Luna's owner is not happy with the situation. She would like a change in policy to see larger dogs required to be muzzled when in a public place.

In this story, the injury happened to another dog. While that is tragic in its own sense, it could have been much worse in Ms. Vergara's eyes. She was glad her children weren't there during the attack. All too often, dogs attack and hurt people every day.
